The Darwinian Polymer Model
A model for the origin of life

What's with the empty egg?

The origin of life is the definitive example of the classic problem:

"Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

Through the years, it has been difficult to come up with a reasonable model for life's origin that can explain how the interdependent processes found in modern living things came about. As you will see, the Darwinian Polymer Model cracks open the egg to reveal many possible steps. Moreover, it shows there was no chicken (and no egg) to begin with. Complexity was achieved through the simultaneous co-evolution of many components from earlier, simpler forms.
